This was really interesting to see. I LOVED that he said "I can see that" after you told him the hat was a hat, that's so funny.
ReplyDeleteDave, read your story, truly feel for you. Living in Mexico I see an incredible number of "deadbeat" dads. I'm sure your not one of them but the "system has overreacted to their influence. Whats sad are the children who get caught in these adult games. I am sorry that the mother of your son has chosen to manipulate the system to get some kind of revenge against you; your son will pay a bigger price than anyone.
ReplyDeleteDave I didn't mean to be mean towards you in any way. I think its important to remember the children in these situations. Your ex is teaching your son how to interact in the world and that is the saddest thing. The fact that you keep fighting is the most important thing you can do to nullify her actions. I am a new father and your story, as well as my own childhood, help me to understand what it is to be a father.

don't give up, darkest hour just before the dawan. Keep doing the paperwork no matter what hatred you feel from the courts, you will find an ally, advocating for you son will teach you true diplomacy
ReplyDeleteTanya is really crazy. I can't believe she would try to prejudice Spike by that ridiculous "Stay off the property" business. You handled this with such aplomb. Good for you. I think many would be tempted to stomp into the house and punch her out.
ReplyDeletePoor Spike having to deal with this; but he seems a normal healthy child in spite of his mother. I see the obvious love between you two.
I'm sure Tanya's fear of you is because of the rip off of a child and collecting eleven years of child support without letting you even be with him. Or the rest of your family, too, that has so much love to share with him.
She commited such a sin and fears retribution. She will get retribution okay, you don't need to do a thing. What goes around will come around...I would guess she's a very unhapppy woman.
The day will come when you and your son can enjoy each other freely. Meantime, keep the faith. You're a loving and responsible father.
